Hi, my name is Gina.  I was born in Manila and migrated here to the U.S. 35 years ago. I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior when I was 18. Since then, I honestly admit my Christian life was a slow progress, but I know in my heart I love God.  I would follow His path and at times I would fall.  There were so many times I see how God works in my life.  I was a single mom for 14 years, and I seem to always have a positive attitude and didn’t want to worry.  I love going to church and hearing His words and guidance. I realized God’s grace is upon me and there’s constant reminder that He is there for all of us.  I find myself more and more closer to Him.  Sunday services is the teachings we learn to guide us for the rest of the week.  I was going to Temple Baptist church in San Francisco at that time.  At times I listen to 1100 AM radio Christian station while I drive.  Very encouraging and helps us grow spiritually.   My life is nowhere close to perfect,  but God’s love and His constant forgiveness is.  He gives us internal peace and joy.  I find myself always wanting to share God’s love and His teachings to family and friends. When there’s trials, He carries our burdens.

I remarried and moved here in Oakland hills.  Jack and I found First Covenant Church four years ago, and we feel at home here.  We met in ballroom dancing.  Jack is also closer to the Lord now and coming to church with me every Sunday.  I wanted to get involved and give back to this church.  Now I sing first Sunday of the month with worship leadership team.  I’m so thankful for this church, from prayer group to all the pastors. Everyone is dedicated and true servants of our Lord.  I love to be a prayer warrior as well and dedicate time for it.  I love my life,  even with the ups and downs. Now that I have a grandchild,  I dedicate my time to help my daughter take care of her, and I always reach out to my grown up kids and help them whatever they need with their busy schedule of full-time work and school for my youngest.  God gives me the energy and joy of being a mom and mama and I’m so grateful for that.

Let us all stay connected in prayers for the current situation in China and the world. This sends us a message,  we are to look up to the heavens for His blessings.  He is bigger than any crisis we have on earth.   His grace, His mercy, His anointing, His healing power.  To God be the glory.

Jack and I love to dance ballroom, and I decided to choreograph a dance that has a meaning. We wanted to use our talent in honoring God, so we chose this song because it has a strong message for all of us.

It is inspired from Matthew 11:28 Come to me all you, who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest; and Hebrews 13:5 Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. In good times, He walks right beside us and in bad, He carries us. We are never left alone in this world.
