Due to the pandemic, we are forced to rethink how to do camp this summer. After considering various options, we have decided to hold Virtual FCC Kids Camp.

► When: Camp will meet Monday thru Friday, 9:00 - 11:30am (9:00am - 12:30pm for counselors), during the week you are registered for. A reminder of camp dates:

  • Week 1: June 22 - 26
  • Week 2: July 6 - 10 CANCELLED
  • Week 3: July 13 - 17

► Cost: $80. This is less than the new or returning camper rate was for on-site Kids Camp 2020, so see below for refund information.

► How: There will be 3 parts to Virtual FCC Kids Camp every day:

  1. LIVE event from 9:00 - 10:30am. This will be a “webinar format” - campers and counselors will see/hear the presenters but not see/hear each other. This live event will feature a combination of live and pre-recorded content such as:
    - Songs
    - Theme skit
    - Bible skit
    - Bible lesson
    - Memory verse
    - Application hour
    - Fun and games
Then we all log-off and have a 15 minute break for snack.
  2. SMALL GROUP from 10:45 - 11:30am hosted by an experienced Kids Camp staffer and 1-2 other counselors. This will be a “Zoom format” in which campers can see and hear each other and their leaders. Campers will be assigned to a small group with mostly campers of a similar age. We will do our best to honor friend requests. Small group time will consist of:
    - Kids Camp Dress Up Days such as Tropical Tuesday, Wacky Sock Wednesday etc.
    - ”Would You Rather” type games
    - Small Group Discussion
    - Craft (see Camp Materials below)
  3. COUNSELOR MEETING from 11:45am - 12:30pm for all counselors working that week. This will be a “Zoom format.”

Closing Program will be online from 2:00 - 3:00pm on Friday of your camp week.

► On the Saturday two days before your camp week begins, you will be invited to FCC between 2:00 - 4:00pm to pick up a bag that contains:
- Camp shirt
- Log-in instructions and passwords for the week
- Our camp cyber rules for online conduct
- And 5 envelopes labeled Monday, Tuesday etc. Each envelopes contains:
*snack for that day
*craft for that day
*after camp activity (something pertaining to the theme for campers to work on each afternoon after camp if they choose)

These materials will only be available to registered campers and counselors for that week.

► Cancellation: The last day to cancel and receive a refund is Sunday, June 14. On June 15, we will assume that all families who registered for Kids Camp will be participating in Virtual Kids Camp. There will be no refunds issued for cancellation requests received after Sunday, June 14.

Registration for each camp week will remain open until 48 hours before that camp week begins (Saturday at 9:00am).

► Note:
We are aware of the potential dangers and inconveniences of having an online format: zoombombing, technical issues, short attention spans, etc. We will do our best to take the steps and precautions necessary to make Virtual FCC Kids Camp safe and smooth for everyone.

There will be an online training for counselors to attend on the Wednesday before each camp week begins from 10:00 - 11:30am. With a virtual camp, there is less of a need for helpers. Therefore, we will only be able to involve a limited number of counselor applicants this summer. No first year counselors will be selected, but students entering 7th grade may register as campers at the $80/camper rate.

There will not be Discovery Centers during Virtual FCC Kids Camp.

There will not be Beforecare/Aftercare during Virtual FCC Kids Camp.

For more information or if you have any questions, please contact Kids Camp staff below.

In closing, we are crushed that we won’t get to high-five campers and fist-bump counselors this summer. However, we are truly thrilled about some of the things we have planned for Virtual FCC Kids Camp. While it will be different, the energy, enthusiasm, joy, and care that we put forth every year will still be present. Kids will still learn about God and grow in their faith. We hope that not only campers who have already registered will take part this summer, but that you would encourage friends both near and far to sign up for Virtual FCC Kids Camp!

Campers are only permitted to sign up for ONE week of Virtual FCC Kids Camp.
