Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the 10-day and the 5-day camp?
Our 10-Day camp features all the same activities you know and love, but with a bonus week. 10-Day campers will choose TWO different discovery centers. The first five days of our 10-Day camp are exactly the same as our 5-Day camp.

Can my child attend both the 10-day and 5-day camps?
No, campers must choose one of the two options. Due to high demand for our camps and significant program overlaps, we do not allow students to attend both camps in the same summer.

What are Discovery Centers?
Discovery Centers are 45-minute "elective" activities each afternoon. You will choose one Discovery Center for the whole camp week during registration. Campers attending the 10-Day Camp will choose two different Discovery Centers.
Sports - Campers learn to play a different sport or active game each day (ie basketball, soccer, capture the flag).
Storybook Unwrapped - Campers will use all of their senses to explore and create classic stories and fairytales.
Cooking/Science - Campers will try their hand at different snacks and learn some science behind cooking and baking. (NOTE: not appropriate for children with severe food allergies)
Art - Campers create and design different projects and learn about different art mediums.
Comic Book Making - Campers will learn about storytelling and create their very own comic books.
Imagination Station - Every day campers will build and create with different materials.

What is Application Hour?
Application Hour is a session each afternoon where campers revisit the big theme of the day. Application Hour typically involves a video, skit, and/or interactive activity and small group discussions between campers and counselors.

What is the 2026 Camp Theme?
Our 2026 theme is the Beyond the Storybook.

What should my child bring to camp each day?
Campers should bring a lunch and water bottle each day. We also recommend bringing a jacket as mornings can be chilly and some activities take place outside.

What should my child wear to camp?
Campers should wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. Morning activities take place outside so we do recommend wearing sunscreen!

Can my child be in a group with a friend or sibling?
We do our best to accommodate friend requests but cannot guarantee them. Groups mingle at several points throughout the camp day and camp is a great opportunity to make new friends!

Can I switch Discovery Centers?
We can accommodate Discovery Center switches as long as space is available.

Can I switch camps?
Per our Transfer Policy: We will accept week-t0-week transfers if space is available. Transfers from our 10-Day Camp to our 5-Day Camp will be refunded the difference in price, less a $5 transfer fee per camper, through March 31, 2026. Transfers on or after April 1 will not be refunded. Transfers from the 5-Day Camp to the 10-Day Camp will be invoiced for the difference in price. Early bird rates will be honored if the original registration was completed before the early bird deadline.

Is Before Care available on the first day of camp?
No, Before Care is only available Tuesday through Friday for the first week of the 10-day camp and for the 5-day camp. We ask that parents wait with their child(ren) on Monday morning (the first day of camp) until the gym doors open at 9am. Before Care is available on the second Monday of the 10-day camp (June 22). After Care is available every day of camp.

Do I have to register for Before Care/After Care in advance?
No, drop-ins for extended care are welcome the week of camp. Payment will be expected at drop-off/pick-up. For your convenience, you have the option to register and pre-pay for Before and After Care with a $5 discount per child, per session, but please note that prepayments are nonrefundable. If you are unsure of your plans, please wait until closer to the camp week. Prepayments at discounted rates will be honored up to the week prior to camp.
