Great Plates Delivered
Program extended to Sept. 9
Daily

The City of Oakland is looking for volunteers who can deliver prepared meals to seniors who are at-risk or who have tested positive for Covid-19. Through a program called Great Plates Delivered, (a partnership between FEMA, the State of California, the City of Oakland, and non-profit World Central Kitchen), driver volunteers pick up meals at a central location and deliver them along a predetermined route to the homes of seniors in Oakland. Volunteer opportunities include drivers, assistants to drivers and food baggers and typically occur Monday through Saturdays between 10:30AM and 3:30PM. You can schedule a shift that can be once a week or multiple times a week for 2-3 hours. Volunteer drivers use their own vehicle, must have a valid California Driver’s License and must not be at high risk for severe illness from Covid-19.
