At First Covenant Church, we believe that children and youth are not just vital to the life of the church, they ARE the church. We are intentional in giving them voice and encouraging them to participate in our worship services. While our children and youth ministries are designed to meet the needs of kids of every age, we also want our students to see models of faith in older people, see their parents pray, be able to ask questions, be empowered to lead the congregation in various ways, and be a part of celebrating the Lord's table as a family.
Therefore we encourage our youth to participate in what we call Worship Together Sunday. On the first Sunday of each month, there are no 1st-5th grade, middle school or high school programs so that our youth can worship in the main services. Nursery, toddler, pre-k and kindergarten programs are still available.
Both in worship and through our various programs, we strive to grow our kids and teens into more mature disciples of Jesus. A dedicated team of pastors, interns and volunteers work hard to create a nurturing and safe space. Students at First Covenant will learn about Jesus and the Bible and will be encouraged to connect what they learn to their everyday lives.
